FEIG – ID MRU400iX UHF Mid Range Reader — Industrial RFID Reading Up to 4 Metres

The FEIG ID MRU400iX is an industrial UHF mid range RFID reader with an integrated circularly polarized antenna, delivering read ranges of more than 4 m in harsh indoor and outdoor environments rated IP65/IP67. Designed for factories, forklifts, conveyor systems, and railway rolling stock, it combines a 1 W output, edge computing via Linux OS, secure key storage, and M12 connectors into a single aluminium housing. It supports EPC Class1 Gen2, ISO 18000-63, and ISO/IEC 29167 transponder protocols, and runs custom applications directly on the device without an external server.

Benefits

Reads Through Harsh Conditions, Not Just Around Them

With IP65/IP67 sealing, M12 connectors, and operation down to -40°C, the MRU400iX installs directly on forklifts, conveyors, and rail vehicles where standard readers cannot survive.

Run Custom Logic Directly on the Reader

The onboard Linux edge computing platform lets you deploy custom applications on the device itself, eliminating the need for a separate server or gateway at every read point and reducing network dependency at the edge.

One Device Covers Internal and External Antenna Needs

The integrated circularly polarized antenna reads tags in any orientation out of the box. An external antenna port with adjustable output power extends coverage when a wider or longer read zone is required — without adding a second reader.
