Managing a large inventory of police weapons is a critical challenge for the Mexico City Police Department, which serves nearly 20 million residents in one of Mexico’s most high-crime areas. Loss and mismanagement of weapons pose significant security risks, prompting the department to seek a more reliable tracking solution.
By deploying Xerafy’s Pico and Dot XS on-metal RFID tags, the department can now track weapons in real time, ensuring greater security and accountability. Each weapon and police badge is tagged, enabling automatic check-in/check-out tracking at armories. This enhances inventory accuracy and prevents unauthorized access.
