Beontag – Ferrowave Micro Thin RAIN RFID Tag | Ultra-Thin On-Metal Label for High-Volume Retail Tracking

The Beontag Ferrowave Micro Thin is a printable RAIN RFID on-metal label at just 0.785 mm thick, designed for item-level, high-volume tracking of specialty retail categories including sports equipment, beauty products, and personal care items, as well as brand authentication for high-value goods. Powered by the Impinj M830 IC and operating on the FCC 902–928 MHz band, it reads up to 3 m on metal at 2W ERP and adheres to flat or curved surfaces using general purpose permanent adhesive. Each reel ships 1,000 tested labels and supports customer-specific EPC encoding, locking, and printed personalization.

Benefits

Sub-Millimetre Profile Fits Where Other Tags Cannot

At 0.785 mm thick and 0.2 g, the Ferrowave Micro Thin applies flush to surfaces on compact retail items — cosmetic tubes, small containers, personal care packaging — without adding visible height or affecting product presentation.

Curved Surface Compatibility Expands Application Range

Unlike flat-only on-metal labels, the Ferrowave Micro Thin is engineered to wrap and adhere along curved asset surfaces, extending usable applications to cylindrical containers, bottles, and equipment components without a separate tag format.

IP68 Protection Supports Wet and Washed Environments

Verified IP68 submersion at 1 m for 5 hours and tolerance for industrial washing with standard solvents means the tag and its encoded identity remain intact through cleaning processes, wet storage, and humid retail back-of-house conditions.
